It’s no secret that Apple has been trying to push the iPhone further, and with the launch of iPhone X, it has finally taken a gamble, which experts believe has paid off. If you are not tech geek like many others, below are some of the quick facts worth knowing about Apple’s most ambitious iPhone ever.

The launch

For the uninitiated, iPhone X marks the tenth anniversary of the device, and hence the ‘X’, which is the Roman ‘ten’. While tech enthusiasts and insiders have predicted the launch of iPhone X for a while, it was finally announced officially on September 12, 2017. At the same event, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were also announced. iPhone X was formally released and launched on November 3, 2017. It is the most expensive ‘flagship’ phone available at the moment and comes in 64GB and 256GB variants.  It’s available in two color options – silver and space gray.

Price point

iPhone X, expectedly, is priced higher than any device in the market. The basic 64GB variant comes for a price of $999, while the 256GB variant is priced at $1,149. There’s no point in discussing the exorbitant price of the device, because for the fans of Apple’s iPhone, this device is nothing short of a must-have.

Things to expect

  1. Well, the screen of iPhone X is the best ever for an iPhone. The 5.8-inch OLED display is hard to miss, just from the time you pick the phone. Compared to iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, the display is so much better, and as we all know by now, it covers the entire surface on the front of the phone. The sharpness and color are aspects that you can hardly miss. If you go by the specifications, iPhone X is bigger than iPhone 8, but it’s more elongated, so the difference doesn’t seem too visible.
  2. Function. iPhone X comes with the A11 Bionic system-on-chip, which is a six-core processor, known to be 25% faster than the A10 Fusion processor. Two of the cores have been maximized for performance. The same processor also powers the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus variants. iPhone X also comes with the first graphics processing unit designed by Apple, along with ‘Neural Engine’.
  3. Face ID. Well, for many buyers, the high point of the device is the Face ID, which replaces the Touch ID. The system identifies the face of the user, but with the eyes open. Reviewers are not very thrilled with the idea though. iPhone X features two cameras on the rear – a 12-MP wide-angle camera and a telephoto lens, with quad-LED True Tone flash.

Get your hands on the Apple’s ambitious iPhone X, which is up for grabs and promises to offer a whole new experience.
